Pillar Data Systems Launches New Storage System

San Jose, California --  Storage company Pillar Data Systems announced the launch of its new application aware storage system aimed at the small and medium-sized enterprise market.

The company unveiled its Pillar Axiom 300 system, which it says has the highest disk utilization percentage of the industry - 80%.  It offers the system with preconfigured profiles, allowing administrators the ability to optimize the arrays for specific applications.

The system is aimed at the middle market, and will be sold through the company's value added reseller partners and other channel partners, as well as direct.
