Expression Genetics Nets Second Financing

Huntsville, Alabama --  Biotechnology company Expression Genetics said that it has secured $12 million in its series B round of financing.

The company develops polymeric delivery vehicles based on synthetic biocompatible polymeric systems that deliver therapeutic genes, inhibitory RNA and small molecules.

The investors in the round were not disclosed.  The company said it would use the funding to continue development of its lead product EGEN-101, a cancer therapeutic.
