SolFocus Sees Series C Venture Capital Funding

Mountain View, California  --  Solar technology company SolFocus has garnered $47.5 million in its third round of venture capital financing.

SolFocus develops and sells concentrator photovoltaic systems that convert sunlight into energy.

Apex Venture Partners led the funding round, which also included New Enterprise Associates, NGEN Partners and others. The company said it would use the funding to increase the expansion rate of its manufacturing operations.
