Open Kernel Scoops New Venture Funding

Chicago, Illinois  --  Software company Open Kernel Labs has raised $7.6 million in a new round of venture capital funding, according to a report in PE Hub.

Open Kernel has created an open source operating system, OKL4, that provides high-performance plus IP rights protection.

Chrysalis Ventures was the lead investor in the round, which also included Citrix Systems and Neo Technology Ventures. Proceeds purposes from the funding round were not disclosed.
