Quest Launches LiteSpeed Engine For Oracle

Aliso Viejo, California  --  Software company Quest Software (Nasdaq: QSFT) announced the launch of a new high-performance backup compression engine.

Called LiteSpeed for SQL Server, the application operates on the Oracle database platform and offers IT administrators with a tool that can cut storage costs and reduce backup and restore times.

“SQL Server DBAs have depended on the advanced technology and true benefits of LiteSpeed for years, and our customers have been asking for this capability to be extended to the Oracle market,” said Billy Bosworth, vice president and general manager SQL Server, Quest Software.
