Tampa Bay, Florida  --  Online company TraderPlanet.com announced the launch of a new social networking platform aimed at active traders and investors.

The company refers to its new platform as a "cross between MySpace and WebMD for the financial community."

“The days of investing on your own are over,” said Lane J. Mendelsohn, publisher of TraderPlanet.com. “More than ever before, recent events in the global financial markets have clearly demonstrated an unprecedented need for a forum where members of the financial community can come together to ride out the storm and ultimately come out on top amidst the volatility and uncertainty gripping the entire global market structure."
