ClearCount Medical Counts Series B Venture Capital

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania  --  Medical device company ClearCount Medical Solutions has secured $3.4 million in second round institutional venture capital financing.

ClearCount provides a sponge management system for surgical procedures that allows physicians to locate any missing sponges using a smart wand.

Draper Triangle Ventures made the investment.  The company did not disclose how the funding proceeds would be used.
