GlycoMimetics Lands $38 Million New Venture Capital

Gaithersburg, Maryland  --  Pharmaceutical company GlycoMimetics has secured $38 million in its series A round of institutional venture capital financing.

GlycoMimetics says that it is "developing a new class of glycobiology-based therapies for a broad range of indications."

Investors in the round included Genzyme Ventures, New Enterprise Associates, Novartis Venture Fund, Anthem Capital and Alliance Technology Ventures.
