PayPal Launches eCommerce API Suite

San Francisco, California  --  Internet e-commerce company PayPal has announced the launch of a new global payments platform.

Called PayPal X, the new platform features a variety of open APIs that allow other websites to monetize their applications in new and innovative ways.

Coincident with the announcement, the company also said that a number of well-known technology companies have developed new applications based on the platform.
