Corning Teams With Case Western On Gigabit Project

Hickory, North Carolina  --  Telecommunications fiber company Corning Cable Systems will supply fiber and design assistance to the Case Western Reserve University in a telecommunications research project.

According to the university, as many as 72% of the households around it in the city of Cleveland have no Internet access or usage.

Corning will assist in the creation of a gigabit speed fiber to the home pilot research project to bring super high-speed Internet service to these underserved areas.
