Gowalla Gets Second Venture Capital Investment

Austin, Texas  --  Internet company Gowalla has garnered $8.4 million in second round of institutional venture capital financing.

Gowalla has developed an online service that incentivizes people to share their favorite places and events with their friends in a game oriented environment.

Greylock Partners led the round, which also included other undisclosed investors.  The company has now raised more than $10 million since its founding in 2007.
