Optony Absorbs $6 Million Venture Capital Investment

Santa Clara, California  --  Alternative energy research firm Optony has raised $6 million in a new round of venture capital financing.

Optony is developing next-generation high efficiency and low cost solar photovoltaic technologies.

Investors in the round were not disclosed.  The company said it would use the funding to accelerate its research and development and expand its "solar solutions services."
