23andMe Collects Additional Series B Venture Capital

Mountain View, California  --  Genetic IT company 23andMe has raised $16.78 million in additional second-round institutional venture capital financing.

The company allows individuals to obtain their genetic information via a mail-in test and web-based software tools system.

Investors in the round were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.
