SynergEyes Collects $13 Million Series C Financing

Carlsbad, California  --  Medical device company SynergEyes has secured $13.3 million in its third round of institutional venture capital financing.

SynergEyes has developed hybrid contact lenses that are soft at the edges and rigid at the center, which provides greater breathe-ability for eye health and comfort.

De Novo Ventures was the lead investor in the round, which included BioStar Private Equity Fund, Alloy Ventures, Delphi Ventures, Innocal Venture Capital And Windward Ventures. The company said it would use the funding proceeds for clinical trials and to expand its sales and marketing efforts globally.
