Cloudera Clears $5 Million Series A Investment

Burlingame, California  --  Software company Cloudera has secured $5 million in its first round of institutional venture capital funding.

Cloudera provides enterprise-level support to users of Apache Hadoop, which is a Java software framework that supports data intensive distributed applications.

Accel Partners was the lead investor in the round, which included other undisclosed investors. Proceeds purposes from the funding were not disclosed.
