Piedmont Closes $5 Million Venture Capital Financing

Greensboro, North Carolina  --  Pharmaceutical company Piedmont Pharmaceuticals has secured $5 million in a new round of venture capital funding.

Piedmont is developing drugs and drug delivery techniques in the areas of parasitology for both human and animal use.

CM Capital Investments led the round, which included other undisclosed investors.  the company said it would use the funding to develop its companion animal health pipeline.
