Big Stage Nets Series B Venture Capital Funding

South Pasadena, California  --  Digital media company Big Stage Entertainment has raised $10.6 million in its second round of institutional venture capital financing.

Big Stage develops entertainment products that allow consumers to create 3-D animated avatars of themselves for online purposes.

Mission Ventures led the round, which also included Selby Venture Partners and the Tech Coast Angels. The company said it would use the funding to increase its R&D efforts as well as sales and marketing.
