Glycos Secures Series A Venture Capital Funds

Houston, Texas  --  Clean technology company Glycos Biotechnologies has garnered $5 million in its first round of institutional venture capital financing.

Glycos is developing biological systems that can flexibly manufacture high-value products from a wide range of feedstocks for the fuel and chemicals industries.

Draper Fisher Jurvetson led the round, which also included DFJ Mercury Venture Partners. The company said it would use the funding proceeds to hire key technical talent and to commercialize its technologies.
