Opscode Clears Series A Venture Capital Funds

Seattle, Washington  --  IT company Opscode has secured $2.5 million in its first round of venture capital financing.

Opscode is developing a systems integration and automation platform for Web services.

Draper Fisher Jurvetson made the investment.  the company said it would use the funds to hire key staff and ready itself to launch its core cloud service later in 2009.
