BigBelly Fills Up With Venture Capital Financing

Needham, Massachusetts  --  Solar company BigBelly has raised $3.2 million in a new round of venture capital funding.

The company was originally founded in 2003 as Seahorse Power Company and has created a solar trash receptacle that compacts trash using sunlight generated electricity.

Investors in the round were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.
