Cegedim Dendrite Launches Counterfeit Detection System

Bedminster, New Jersey  --  Compliance technology company Cegedim Dendrite announced the launch of a new offering that will help pharmaceutical companies identify counterfeit product.

Called CounteRxfeit Detect, the system coordinates the purchase of uncontrolled, finished drug products from contract manufacturers and tests the product for compliance.

“Drug counterfeiting is a concern in the pharmaceutical industry with estimates indicating that upward of 8% of pharmaceutical medicines worldwide may be counterfeit,” explained Bill Buzzeo, Cegedim Dendrite Vice President and General Manager, Compliance Solutions and OneKey. “As part of their anti-counterfeiting programs, pharmaceutical companies should acquire finished drug products within the supply chain for analysis and testing to ensure their quality.
