NanoString Tugs On $30 Million Venture Capital

Seattle, Washington  --  Nanotechnology company NanoString Technologies has secured $30 million in its series C round of institutional venture capital financing.

NanoString is "developing a patent pending platform for single molecule identification and digital quantification."

Clarus Ventures led the round, which also included OVP Venture Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson.  The company said it would use the funding to help increase sales of its digital readout instrument, the nCounter.
