Wellogic Launches Live Medical Record Exchange

Monday, June 22, 2009 5:15:00 AM PDT | VentureDeal Staff

Cambridge, Massachusetts  --  Healthcare services company Wellogic said that it is the first to go live on a national electronic medical record exchange system.

Designed to process disability claims in the United States, the company's Health Information Exchange (HIE) first began exchanging live patient data in February.

“Unlike most prior efforts that have focused on clinical impact, the SSA disability transaction over the NHIN shows how meaningful interoperability can directly help control healthcare delivery costs,” said Sumit Nagpal, President and CEO of Wellogic.
