CoAxia Clears Series D Venture Capital Investment

Maple Grove, Minnesota  --  Medical device company CoAxia has secured $21.5 million for its fourth round of venture capital financing.

CoAxia says that it is "pioneering the use of catheter-based perfusion augmentation systems for the treatment of cerebral ischemia."

Sofinnova Ventures led the round, which also included Affinity Capital, Baird Venture Partners, Canaan Partners, Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation and Prism VentureWorks.  Proceeds purposes from the financing were not disclosed.
