Hangout Clears $4 Million Series A Venture Funding

Boston, Massachusetts  --  Internet company Hangout has closed $4 million for its series A venture capital funding round.

Hangout has created online technologies for users to customize their MySpace accounts with rooms of their choice, avatars and other digital media.

Investors in the round included Highland Capital Partners and Polaris Venture Partners. Proceeds purposes from the financing were not disclosed.
