NanoSteel Garners $8 Million In Venture Capital Funding

Providence, Rhode Island  --  Advanced materials company NanoSteel Company has received $8 million in a new round of institutional venture capital financing.

NanoSteel says that it has "created a unique and proprietary portfolio of nanotechnology based in environmentally friendly steel alloys."

Investors in the round included EnerTech Capital and Cycad Group.  Proceeds purposes were not disclosed by the company.
