Parking Consortium Launches Parking Database

Chicago, Illinois  --  A consortium of more than 20 of the largest parking companies in North America have banded together to make available to consumers via the Internet a database of their parking facilities.

The venture, called Parking Data Ventures, will license the database to information providers.  The database will include the parking facilities entry points, hours of operation, accepted forms of payment, pricing schedule and other information.

The venture says that the participating parking companies represent more than 10,000 parking facilities across North America.
