Calix Networks Raises $100 Million In Venture Capital

Petaluma, California  --  Networking company Calix Networks has secured $100 million in a new round of institutional venture capital investment.

Calix provides a variety of networking equipment and services to what it claims are hundreds of telecom service providers.

Investors in the round included Foundation Capital, Sprout Group and Silicon Valley Bank.  The company said it would use the funding proceeds to expand its growth efforts and take advantage of the US broadband stimulus program.
