Ironwood Pharma Nets $25 Million Venture Capital

Cambridge, Massachusetts  --  Drug maker Ironwood Pharmaceuticals has secured $25 million in a new round of venture capital financing.

Ironwood says that it is developing human medicines using the most recent cutting-edge technologies.

Polaris Venture Partners made the investment along with other undisclosed investors.  The company did not disclose how the funding proceeds would be used.
