Wilmington, Massachusetts  --  Defense manufacturer Textron Defense Systems announced that its new munitions systems successfully completed a full live fire engagement.

Called the XM1100 Scorpion, the system contains a series of networked sensors linked to a munitions platform monitored by an operator.

Remote-controlled military drones were driven through multiple fields of sensors, which then identified and tracked the targets and transmitted the information to the operator who armed the Scorpion and destroyed the targets.
