iStore Launches Cloud Computing For Petroleum Industry

Houston, Texas  --  Infrastructure computing provider iStore announced the launch of a new cloud-based hosting service for the petroleum industry.

Called Digital Oilfield Online, the managed service is intended to help oil and gas companies "access, organize and visualize exploration and production data."

The company says that it believes that by going to the software as a service model, it can save petroleum exploration companies as much as $200,000 on hardware and software costs.
