aTyr Pharma Raises Series C Venture Capital Round

San Diego, California  --  Pharmaceutical technology company aTyr Pharma has garnered $23 million in its third round of institutional venture capital financing.

aTyr says that it has developed "proprietary methods for discovering Physiocrines."

Domain Associates led the round, which also included Alta Partners, Cardinal Partners and Polaris Venture Partners. The company said the proceeds would be used to accelerate development of its preclinical pipeline and advance its physiocrine drug candidates into clinical trials.
