CoolPlanetBioFuels Scores $8 Million Venture Capital

   Camarillo, California  --  Alternative energy company CoolPlanetBioFuels has secured $8 million in new venture capital investment.

CoolPlanetBioFuels is developing a thermal/mechanical processor that takes raw biomass and produces distinct gas streams for upgrading to conventional hydrocarbon fuel.

Venture capital firm North Bridge Venture Partners led the round, which also included GE Energy Financial Services.

The company will also take advantage of GE's technical and market resources to accelerate their development.
