GameGround Gets New Venture Capital Investment

   New York, New York  --  Gaming social network company GameGround has garnered $5.3 million in new venture capital financing.

GameGround has created an online social network for game players to interact with each other more easily.

Venture capital firms Sequoia Capital Israel and SoftBank Capital invested along with corporate venture capital arm Vodafone Group.  Haim Sadger is the board member for Sequoia Capital Israel and Ronald Fisher is board member from SoftBank.

The company did not disclose how the funding proceeds would be used, however it announced the beta launch of its online service concurrent with the financing.
