HYLAS 1 Satellite Launches For Rural Euro Broadband

   London, UK  --  The Avanti Communications Group announced the launch of what it calls the first ever European broadband satellite.

HYLAS 1 successfully launched on Friday and will provide rural European residents and businesses the first opportunity to receive broadband Internet access.

The overall cost of the satellite was GBP120 million and the entry-level cost for consumers of broadband between 2MBs and 10MBs will start from €25 per month.
