Wrightspeed Speeds Up With Series A Venture Capital

San Jose, California  --  Electric transportation designer Wrightspeed has garnered $5 million in its first round of institutional venture capital funding.

Wrightspeed is "developing extended range, hybrid electric drive systems."

Venture capital firms participating in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.
