Amazon Acquires Online Diapers Retailer

Jersey City, New Jersey -- Baby care website Diapers.com will be acquired by Amazon.com for a total consideration of $545 million.

Diapers.com is an online destination providing all types of baby care, food, diapers and clothing, among other products.

The company was backed by venture capital firms such as Accel Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners, New Enterprise Associates, Pinnacle Ventures and MentorTech Ventures.
