FitnessKeeper Runs With New Venture Capital Financing

   Boston, Massachusetts  --  Mobile fitness electronics company FitnessKeeper has garnered $1.1 million in new venture capital investment.

FitnessKeeper has developed the RunKeeper, which enables users to track their workouts to make them more interesting and useful.

O'Reilly Alpha Tech Ventures led the round, which also included Launch Capital and other individual investors.

The company didn't say how it would use the funding proceeds.
