10gen Lands More Venture Capital Investment

   New York, New York  --  IT company 10gen has secured $6.5 million in its third round of institutional venture capital financing.

10gen has created the platform-as-a-service technology MongoDB that helps improve the efficiency of developers creating websites and applications.

Sequoia Capital led the round, which also included previous investors Flybridge Capital Partners and Union Square Ventures.

The company did not say how the funding proceeds would be used.
