BAE Tests Advanced Precision Weapon System

China Lake, California  --  Helicopter aviators from the US Marine Corps completed an integrated live fire test of the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) from BAE Systems.

A series of five laserguided rockets were fired from varying distances from an AH-1W Cobra helicopter against both stationary and moving targets.

The system is designed to be highly precise against soft and lightly armored targets while causing as little collateral damage as possible.
