Flexion Therapeutics Raises More Series A Funding

Woburn, Massachusetts  --  Biotechnology company Flexion Therapeutics has garnered an additional $9 million in strategic venture capital investment for its first funding round.

Flexion has developed a pipeline of four clinically enabled compounds for autoimmune diseases, ulcerative colitis, tinnitus and osteoarthritis.

The Pfizer Strategic Investments Group made the investment.  Proceeds purposes from the funding were not disclosed.
