Fraunhofer To Launch MPEG Audio Codecs For Android

Denver, Colorado  --  Software development company Fraunhofer IIS has announced today that it will launch a variety of MPEG audio codecs at the upcoming 2010 Mobile World Congress.

The company is continuing to focus on new audio technologies, and says it will provide a comprehensive library of codecs to maximize multimedia performance on the Android platform.

In addition, the company will launch MPEG Surround, a new system that brings multichannel audio to mobile devices and the living room.
