Calisolar Raises $20 Million Venture Capital

Sunnyvale, California  --  Alternative energy company Calisolar has secured $20 million in new institutional venture capital investment.

Calisolar is a photovoltaic solar cell design and manufacturer for what it calls "the largest segments of the PV industry."

Investors in the round included Good Energies, Ventures West and Yaletown Venture Partners.  The company said that the new funding would be used to increase capacity and expand its silicon purification operations.
