PocketGear Acquires Smartphone App Company

Durham, North Carolina  --  Mobile application company PocketGear announced that it has acquired smartphone application company Handango.

PocketGear says that the combined operations will result in a content marketplace and open application store with a catalog of more than 140,000 paid and free mobile application titles.

Noro-Moseley Partners played a prominent role in the acquisition and has been an investor of PocketGear since it's spin out in June, 2008.
