1366 Technologies Gets Series B Venture Capital

North Lexington, Massachusetts  --  Alternative energy technology company 1366 Technologies has landed $5.2 million in its second round of institutional venture capital investment.

1366 is aiming to transition energy sources from coal to solar cells by lowering manufacturing costs and increasing efficiency.

Investors in the round were North Bridge Venture Partners and Polaris Venture Partners.  Proceeds purposes from the funding round were not disclosed.
