BATS US Options Exchange Goes Live

Kansas City, Missouri  --  Financial services company BATS Global Markets has announced the launch of a new US equity options exchange.

The company will roll out the service beginning with 18 underlying securities and will finish all 6,400 underlying symbols by May 17.

More than 30 member firms have already been approved for trading and the company feels that its trading operation will provide for superior pricing and service.
