Aveo Pharmaceuticals Floats NASDAQ IPO

Cambridge, Massachusetts  --  Cancer therapeutics company Aveo Pharmaceuticals went public last week, raising a gross proceeds of $81 million in its initial public offering (IPO).

Aveo says that it is focused on "the discovery and development of novel cancer therapeutics."

The company boasted a large number of institutional venture capital, private equity and strategic investors.
