Mobile DTV Consumer Showcase To Launch

Washington, DC  --  Beginning May 3, 2010, hundreds of television viewers in the Washington DC area will begin a test of mobile digital television.

Under the test, viewers will be able to watch local digital television broadcasts on a variety of local devices, including specially equipped cell phones, iPhones and iPads.

The effort is a collaboration between nine Washington area television stations and is coordinated by the Open Mobile Video Coalition.
