has raised $2 million in a new round of venture capital investment.
Hangout operates a 3-D virtual environment that offers fully customizable rooms and interactions with favorite consumer brands.
Highland Capital Partners and Polaris Venture Partners made the investment. The company did not say how the funding proceeds would be used.
