Agios Raises Almost $9 Million VC Funding

Agios Pharmaceuticals
has secured $8.8 million in new round of institutional venture capital financing.
Agios is developing treatments for cancer by understanding how cancer cells become addicted to using more nutrients than normal cells and by starving them of those nutrients.
Investors and the round were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.
